Installing the Quick Fix
Important:
This quick fix must be installed on a system with LiveCycle ES SP3
(8.2.1.3) already installed. QF_3.19 must be installed on top of SP3.
Any client who has SP3 installed, and has used LiveCycle ES SP3, must
contact Adobe Support before installing this quick fix.
To install the quick fix:

- Extract the archive file to your hard drive.
- In
the directory named according to the operating system that you are
using, open adobe_livecycle_8_2_qf.bin or adobe_livecycle_8_2_qf.exe.
This launches an install wizard that guides you through the
installation.
- Select the language to use in the install wizard and click OK.
- On the Welcome panel, click Next.
- Either accept the default Adobe LiveCycle ES product directory or click Browse to select a different location, and then click Next.
- Read the Quick Fix Summary information and click Next.
- Read the additional Quick Fix Summary information and click Install.
- When the installation is complete, click Next to apply the quick fix updates to your installed files.
- When the quick fix installation is complete, click Finish to exit the wizard.
- Navigate to the [LiveCycleES root]/configurationManager/bin directory and invoke configurationManager.bat/sh to launch LiveCycle Configuration Manager.
- In the wizard, ensure "Upgrade from LiveCycle 7.x" is selected if your system has already been upgraded from LiveCycle 7.x.
When "Upgrade from LiveCycle 7.x" is selected, you are presented with 3
sub options. Ensure you select only the first of the three sub options:
"Apply LiveCycle 7.x configuration to LiveCycle ES". If your system has
not been upgraded from LiveCycle 7.x, then you can leave "Upgrade from LiveCycle 7.x" unselected.
- Follow
the wizard instructions to complete the configuration, ensuring to
select "Custom" install and do not select the task in LCM for
initializing the database.
